Rear Wall Alteration & Kitchen Reconfiguration
An awkward kink in the rear wall was limiting the kitchen layout and preventing a clean run of cabinetry.
Rather than removing the dividing wall or creating a larger extension, Modura moved the rear wall out by approximately 400mm, creating the extra depth needed to make the kitchen work properly.
The alteration included a new foundation, insulated wall construction and new rear door and window units, while retaining the existing kitchen window.
A simple finishing touch saw leftover timber worktop reused as a matching internal windowsill.
A relatively small structural change that made a significant difference to the finished kitchen.

Ground Floor Structural Reconfiguration
This project involved a major reconfiguration of the ground floor, opening up the existing layout to create a much more connected living space.
Two internal walls and the chimney breast were removed, requiring multiple interlinking steel members and carefully planned temporary support throughout the structural works.
Once the new structure was in place, the space could be transformed into a more open kitchen and living area, with the existing timber floorboards retained and refurbished as part of the finished result.
